{"id":492,"date":"2025-11-06T20:43:59","date_gmt":"2025-11-06T20:43:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yourfinancerules.com\/index.php\/2025\/11\/06\/sun-silver-begins-trading-on-otcqx-as-part-of-us-expansion\/"},"modified":"2025-11-06T20:43:59","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T20:43:59","slug":"sun-silver-begins-trading-on-otcqx-as-part-of-us-expansion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yourfinancerules.com\/index.php\/2025\/11\/06\/sun-silver-begins-trading-on-otcqx-as-part-of-us-expansion\/","title":{"rendered":"Sun Silver Begins Trading on OTCQX as Part of US Expansion"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sun Silver (ASX:SS1) will commence trading on the US OTCQX market following strong US investor interest, the company said earlier this week.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The OTCQX trading allows US investors to trade the company\u2019s shares in US dollars and during the US market hours.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sun Silver, US investor interest came after its completion of an AU$30 million placement to advance its Maverick Springs silver and gold project in Nevada last July.<\/p>\n<p>Coincidentally, silver was included in the US Department of Interior\u2019s Draft 2025 Critical Minerals List, which was updated in August.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCommencing trading on the OTCQX represents a major step forward in Sun Silver\u2019s U.S. growth strategy,\u201d said Sun Silver Managing Director Andrew Dornan. \u201cOur Nevada-based Maverick Springs Project is ideally positioned to benefit from growing recognition of silver\u2019s critical role in clean energy and technology supply chains.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Maverick Springs holds an updated JORC inferred mineral resource estimate of 480 million ounces of silver equivalent at 68.29 grams per tonne silver equivalent. <\/p>\n<p>The company said on its website that it is the largest pre-production primary silver deposit on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).<\/p>\n<p>\u201c(This) dual quotation on the OTC Market will not only broaden its investor base but also align Sun Silver with the world\u2019s most sophisticated silver investment community at a time of heightened demand and increasing strategic value for the metal,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n<p>It also cited the rise of antimony in the global market, highlighting JPMorgan\u2019s recent US$75 million investment for nearly a three percent stake in Perpetua Resources&#8217; (TSX:PPTA,NASDAQ:PPTA)<\/p>\n<p>Perpetua is known for its 4.8 million ounce Stibnite gold mine in Idaho, which has a historic record of producing 90 percent of the US&#8217; antimony output during World War II.<\/p>\n<p>The company added that in this context, advancing projects such as Maverick Springs, which \u201chosts widespread antimony mineralisation alongside silver and gold mineralisation,\u201d present a significant opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>Sun Silver\u2019s shares will continue to trade on the ASX under \u201cSS1,\u201d which will remain its primary listing.<\/p>\n<p><em><\/em><strong>Securities Disclosure: I, Gabrielle de la Cruz, hold no direct investment interest in any company mentioned in this article.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div>This post appeared first on investingnews.com<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sun Silver (ASX:SS1) will commence trading on the US OTCQX market following strong US investor interest, the company said earlier this week.
